Letters, historical documents, diary excerpts, photos, posters, and other primary-source documents make history come alive! The book is divided into 3 sections: The American Revolution, Westward Expansion, and Woman Suffrage. Each section contains background information, a variety of primary sources, and challenging activities to integrate the artifacts into the curriculum. Through these activities students will improve their abilities to analyze, create, discuss, hypothesize, and evaluate. Grades 5 to 8.
Book 1 covers The American Revolution, Westward Expansion and Women's Suffrage.
Book 2 covers The American Civil War, World War II and Civil Rights.
