Teaching the Four Basic Types of Writing!

The first part of each book comprises 14 skill-building lessons that focus on a particular type of writing. The lessons review important composition skills and provide opportunities for youngsters to practice those skills. Also included are a Writers Checklist and an Editorial Symbols sheet. The second part of each book comprises 20 writing lessons. Each 2-page lesson is divided into 3 steps: Pre-Writing, Composing, and Revising. There is also a For-More-Fun activity for each lesson to encourage students to think creatively and to share their writings with their classmates and others. A list of additional topics for the particular type of writing is also provided. 64 pages each. Grades 4 to 7.
