Verblers are verbal picture puzzles that improve students’ vocabulary and help build both logical, left-brain thinking skills and subjective, right-brain thinking skills. Students analyze the way in which words are written in terms of position, size and direction in order to decipher the words, phrases and expressions depicted. Some are easy and some will require some thought. All answers are included. Use the opportunity to discuss any vocabulary or idiomatic expressions with which some or all of the children are unfamiliar.
